Ingredients
Makes 2 medium pizza bases
For dough:
- 2 cups strong white bread flour (or 1.5 cups self raising flour & half cup plain flour)
- quarter teaspoon of yeast
- quarter teaspoon of salt
- 3/4 of a cup of water
- 2-3 tablespoons oil
For pizza sauce:
- 200g tinned chopped tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- quarter teaspoon dried oregano
- quarter teaspoon dried thyme
- quarter teaspoon dried basil
- pinch garlic granules
- salt and pepper to taste

Method
- Starting with the dough, mix flour, yeast and salt together in a bowl. Add water and begin mixing. Add oil, one tablespoon at a time and mixing through until dough is at the right consistency (should come together and not be too sticky).
- Place dough in a warm area, cover with cloth or plastic and leave to rise for about 1 hour. Once risen, knead on floured surface for a couple of minutes, and separate into two balls. Leave to rise for another hour.
- When ready, flatten dough out into desired shape and place onto flat trays. Set aside to rest for approximately 20 minutes while preparing sauce and toppings.
- For the sauce, put all ingredients together into blender or use a stick blender to combine until smooth. When ready, spread sauce over pizza dough base and top with desired toppings.
