Ingredients
Makes approx 30 biscuits
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup plain flour
- 1 cup desiccated coconut
- 3/4 cup caster sugar
- 125g butter
- 1 tablespoon golden syrup
- 1 teaspoon bicarbonate soda
- 3 tablespoons water

Method
- Preheat oven to gas mark 3 / 160°c / 320°f.
- Mix oats, flour, coconut and sugar together in a large bowl.
- Melt the butter and golden syrup together.
- Stir the bicarbonate soda into the water and add to the butter.
- Add the butter mix to the dry ingredients and combine well.
- Shape mixture into small balls and place on a tray lined with baking paper. Ensure there is about 4-5cm between each ball. Flatten balls gently until about half thickness.
- Place into the oven for about 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove from oven and leave to cool before eating.
