Tropical Smoothie

Ingredients

Makes 2 serves

  • 1 orange
  • 200g pineapple chunks
  • 200g mango chunks
  • 2 bananas, peeled
  • 50-100ml water

Method

  1. Peel and roughly cut up the orange.
  2. Add all ingredients to the blender and blitz.

Pumpkin Pie Smoothie

Ingredients

Makes 2 serves

  • 200g butternut squash
  • 400ml milk
  • 1 banana
  • half tsp cinnamon
  • quarter tsp of powdered ginger
  • quarter tsp of nutmeg
  • quarter tsp of turmeric
  • pinch of pepper
  • 1 tsp vanilla paste/extract

Method

  1. Cut butternut squash into medium-sized chunks and roast in an oven for about 35-45 minutes at 180°c / gas mark 4 / 350°f. Remove from the oven and put into the fridge until chilled.
  2. Add the chilled squash and 200ml of the milk into the blender and blitz into a smooth paste.
  3. Add the banana, spices, pepper, vanilla and the rest of the milk and blitz.
